Days40-44. Feb 22-26

Back to Tarpon Point in Cape Coral.   We had our taste of cold weather and got everything done.  Had a wonderful visit with old friends that live here now.  Cyndi and Art Pittman and their grandson Joey. The marina had a car show here today. Visiting with cousins tomorrow.

Day37-39. Feb 20-22

Drove back to Tarpon Point Marina from the show. Thanks Mitzi for the use of your car and to you and Mark for keeping Piper.  She definitely got spoiled!   Stayed by pool and relaxed. Going home tomorrow until Friday.  Have lots of appts and Bob has meetings.

Day 34-37. Feb.17-20

 At Miami boat show with our Pickwick friends.  Lots of fun, exhausting, and some beautiful expensive boats! I never thought I would get tired of eating and drinking, but I did.

Day33. Feb 17

 Going to Miami boat show today thru Sun We are joining the Pickwick Lake group. There will be 15 of us.  Will post afterwards .

Day32. Feb 16

 Beautiful marina.  Made it to Tarpon point marina in Cape Coral/ Ft Myers. We got to visit with my cousins family ,the Johnsons,  from Charlotte and Ft Meyers .  We traveled 69 miles in the gulf.

Day 31. Feb 15

 Bob received the part at 4:00 and then he and  Mark put it on.  Thank goodness they are so mechanically talented!   I guess you have to be to own a boat.  Leaving early in morning to Ft Myers.  Thanks again Mark and Mitzi for all your help❤️

Days 28-30.Feb13-14

 Well, you have to able to go with the flow.  One engine won’t start.  Bob and Mark worked on it all day, figured out it was the starter.  Places were closed until Monday. We ordered another starter to be delivered today (Tue) and they will then put it on and leave for Ft Myers on Wed.  We are so grateful it happened here since we had our friends Mark and Mitzi near the boat.  We got to spend more time with them.  Watched the Super Bowl, ate a delicious Valentines dinner and now we wait for the arrival of the starter,

Day 25-27 Feb 10-12

 Been hanging out in Venice with several friends.  Bob North, Mark and Mitzi Bruck, Donna and Denise Fridenmaker, and Karen Leonard.  Very cute downtown area in Old Venice by the marina.  Mitzi was sweet and let us use her car. Great restaurant here at Crowes Nest.   We all watched UK beat Florida together.  I’ve got some great videos and pics to share but I’m having trouble getting them to post   Hopefully you will see them tomorrow

Day 24. Feb 9

 Charlie and Robin McVey stopped by for a short visit.  They are at our marina at Aqua and happened to be boating here also. Bob got a haircut, we took a walk and had toasted coconut ice cream Delicious! After a little organizing, we ate some really good pizza from across the street.  Goodby Bradenton and onto Venice in the morning.

Day 23 Feb 8

 Rick and June Slanker came by to visit on their way to Naples. We  had  breakfast at Robins near the marina and enjoyed our time together.  We were houseboat friends at Lake Cumberland.  The Boyle’s picked us up and went to West Marine and to dinner.  Watching Ky game now. It was a rainy and cold day.

Pat and Marsha Boyle, met us later in the day and for dinner.  We went to an Irish pub that also specializes 

in martinis!  They were great.

Day 21. Feb 6

 We traveled to Bradenton Florida and will be here for 3 days.  We are staying at Twin Dolphin Marina.  It is very pretty and we can walk around to stores and restaurants. Overcast day

Day15 Jan 31

 It was fun crossing the gulf. It took about 8 hrs.  We left at 6am and arrived around 2pm. Rudy and Jamie Buono met us at the dock when we pulled in along with Mitzi Bruck and her brother Patrick.  I’m sure Mitzi and Mark were glad to see each other after 3 weeks.  The sunrise and sunset were beautiful as was pulling into Clearwater Bay.  The pics aren’t in order for some reason and I can’t figure it out how to arrange them.  This blogging stuff is hard for my old brain!  Enjoyed dinner with the group and spending some time here with the
